JS Infra produces close to 11,000 tonnes of M-Sand a month with the Combo X70
Karnataka-based construction contractor JS Infra Pvt. Ltd entered sand washing and retailing with CFlo's Combo X70 at Aurad, Bidar. Commissioned in December 2020 and launched in January 2021, just 8 months after the first meeting, the plant now produces close to 11,000 tonnes of concrete-grade M-Sand every month for government, road, PWD and NHAI projects and retail customers.
JS Infra was mainly involved in construction contracting, government road projects and retailing of aggregates and sand. After upgrading from a low-capacity crusher plant and seeing the benefits of better output quality, the company decided to invest in its own sand washing plant to meet the rising demand for manufactured sand in its area. Its market study of existing sand-washing options, however, left the company unimpressed with the current players.
CFlo proposed the Combo X70, an innovation from its flagship Combo platform tailored to JS Infra's requirements. The plant operates for almost 12-16 hours a day with power saving and water recycling through smart resource use, converting fine stone dust to M-Sand for the ready-mix concrete industry. It converts black basalt (-4.55mm) to industry-grade Concrete M-Sand (Zone II), running at 70-100 TPH on an optimum power capacity of 101 kW.
The client also took up CFlo's Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), with maintenance and upkeep managed entirely by CFlo's team and expert engineers on site.
The sand is sold for various government projects, road construction, PWD and NHAI projects, and to other retailers.
Opting for the Combo washing plant has proven to be a delightful experience for us. As the demand for M-Sand increases so does the insistence on granular specifications, which we can now successfully fulfill with the Combo X70 plant. With the new plant, we have understood the company's brand value and how it maintains a fine balance between uncompromised quality and economy of cost.
