Metrro Waste Handling expands Thane's C&D recycling with a 120 TPH CFlo plant
Metrro Waste Handling Pvt. Ltd., an established operator in municipal solid waste and C&D waste recycling, returned to CFlo for a second plant after the successful Reurban D2100 deployment in 2019. Commissioned in 2024 for a Thane Municipal Corporation waste recycling tender, the custom 120 TPH modular wet processing system recovers three market-ready products: +6mm aggregates, concrete sand and plaster sand.
Metrro faced mixed and contaminated C&D waste, inefficient manual segregation, limited land availability for processing, and no effective mechanism to recover saleable sand and aggregates. Conventional practices led to environmental degradation and regulatory compliance issues, and made material recovery economically unfeasible. The dense urban setting demanded a compact system with high water and energy efficiency.
CFlo delivered a modular wet processing system tailored for mobile deployment and high throughput. The core was a dual pass sand processing setup integrated with the Scrubmax RW100, enabling aggressive scrubbing of coarse aggregates to remove cement slurry, clay and organic binders.
The system is fully modular and automated, offering remote monitoring, closed-loop water recycling and minimal operator intervention. Its compact footprint allowed efficient operations on a restricted site while supporting relocation or scale-up, with rapid commissioning suited to Thane's urban constraints.
The deployment sharply reduced municipal landfill dependency while recovering construction materials in clean, marketable form, with automation and process reliability improving profitability and regulatory compliance.
